Good afternoon!
Wow! I cannot believe we are half way
through the school year! Where does the time go? I have enjoyed being your
child’s ELA teacher, and I am looking forward to finishing out the year with
them.
As we get into the new year, it is a
good time to set some goals with your child. Please make sure your child is
reading at home each night. It is so crucial that the kids read for 2 hours
each week, or more! This would be about 20 minutes each night. If your child
has practice or something going on one day during the week, they should double
up another day. It’s hard for me to hold them accountable at home, so your help
with this would be greatly appreciated!
Also, your child is going home with a
Winter Wish List. We have noticed that many students are quickly running out of
supplies that they use daily. Some of which being pencils, glue sticks, and
sticky notes. Please check your child’s individual list for supplies they need
and refill them over the break if you can! We would really appreciate it!
I hope you and your family have a fun,
wonderful, and very restful holiday break. I will see you all in 2018!
