Good afternoon,
How is it already our winter break? I feel like just last week we were having our fall break! I am so proud of the kids and all of the hard work they are putting in, it is truly showing in their work. I look forward to having this week off to rest, relax, and recharge! Please make sure your child knows we will be hitting the ground running to prepare for the Milestone tests once we return from the break.
Reminders:
- Your child should know who they are researching for the VIP project. If your child cannot get a book, we will have books here for them to use. I do encourage you to try to find books at the library because there are some students who are researching the same person, so books will be limited as all of 4th grade will need books at the same time.
- After the break our reading focus will be inferencing, and our writing focus will be the VIP project.
- The next vocabulary and no excuse words quiz will be on March 9th.
- In your child’s Thursday folder, you should have received a green paper that contains a letter from Mr. Wagner. He is finishing up his specialist degree and one of the requirements is filming a lesson that he teaches and reflecting on the lesson. In order to film, he must have parent’s permission to film. Please help us help Mr. Wagner finish up his specialist degree!!!
We are looking for donations of the following items for a STEM project coming up after the break:
- water bottles
- 2 liter bottles
- Egg cartons
- Toilet paper and paper towel rolls
- Cereal boxes
- Plastic grocery bags
- Plastic bottle caps
- Any plastic (rinsed) containers
