I hope you all had a wonderful and restful
holiday break! The older I get, the more the holidays fly by. Time needs to
slow down!
Reminders:
- · Report Cards for the 2nd 9 weeks were sent home today. Please sign and return the envelope as soon as possible. You may keep the actual report card at home.
- · Field Trip Permission Forms for the Tellus Museum were sent home today as well. This field trip is on February 7th. If you would like to be a chaperone, please send in a note with your child no later than Tuesday, January 9th. I will be drawing names for chaperones on Tuesday.
- · The Six Flags Reading Challenge begins today! Students received a reading log today. All students who complete this reading challenge will get 1 free ticket to Six Flags! All students are required to participate, as they should be reading at home each night anyway! J The reading logs are due back no later than February 26th.
- · Our next vocabulary (lesson 9) quiz and no excuse words (#81-90) quiz will be on January 19th.
- · Our reading focus for next week will be non-fiction text features, and in writing the students will begin their animal research project.
